Everton have already been linked with PSV attacker Hirving Lozano.

According to Sky Sports, Everton are set to appoint Marcel Brands as their new technical director, and he should make Hirving Lozano his first addition at Goodison Park.

Brands has helped mastermind PSV’s success this campaign, with the Dutch side leading the Eredivisie comfortably.

A major reason behind PSV’s success has been the form of Lozano, and if Brands does arrive at Everton, then he would be wise to bring the Mexican with him.

Lozano possesses a great deal of pace and trickery, which has made him one of the most feared attackers in Holland.

Lozano has smashed in 14 league goals and claimed 10 assists in 24 Eredivisie appearances and he could be a hugely exciting addition to Everton’s attacking line-up.

The Toffees already have Theo Walcott lining up down the right, and if they could put Lozano down the left, they would have searing pace to utilise on either flank.

That could make the Toffees a major threat to defences across England, and Brands would be making a great start at Everton if he helped negotiate a transfer for Lozano.

Lozano is already said to be on Everton’s wishlist, as reported by Super Deportivo, but Brands may have to talk PSV down from their current asking price, which is said to be £42 million.
