Everton have finally landed Marco Silva as their new manager.

Everton director of football Marcel Brands has told the club’s official website that he is a big fan of new Toffees manager Marco Silva.
After a disappointing campaign, Everton decided to sack manager Sam Allardyce and director of football Steve Walsh, with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri pushing for major change at Goodison Park.
Moshiri first landed PSV Eindhoven’s sporting director Marcel Brands as Walsh’s replacement, with the Dutchman brought in to oversee the club’s transfers this summer.

Now, Moshiri has also snapped up Allardyce’s replacement, as Marco Silva has today been appointed as Everton manager on a three-year contract.
The Portuguese boss, 40, was Everton’s top target to replace Ronald Koeman back in October, but Watford stood firm and kept their manager whilst filing a complaint about an illegal approach.
Yet, in January, Watford decided to sack Silva, citing that Everton’s interest turned Silva’s head and sparked a poor run of form, and he has been out of management ever since.
Everton fans will be hoping that the nomadic Silva settles down at Goodison Park, and heh as now been hailed by new director of football Brands in an interview with the club’s official website.

Brands praised Silva’s experience for his age, whilst noting that he wants to bring ‘attractive, attacking football’ to Everton, whilst also highlighting his desire to work with young players.
“Marco is a young coach but also an experienced coach and he’s worked already at the top, while also gaining experience of the Premier League which is also an important factor,” said Brands. “One of the most important things is that he’s a guy who wants to play attractive, attacking football and also wants to work in the structure we have at Everton. He’s a guy who has proved already that he wants to work with young players, make them better and he has performed very well with the teams he’s worked with. He will be a very good manager for Everton.”
“His vision in football, the way he is thinking about football is what we want. He wants to structure a team and he has proved already with a few clubs with good results, so I believe strongly in him. He’s an open guy who wants to work together with good staff and in an environment at Finch Farm which is conducive to building something strong,” he added.
