Everton loanee Andre Gomes has quickly become a fan favourite.

Everton midfielder Andre Gomes starred in the 1-0 win over Cardiff City on Saturday – and director of football Marcel Brands has addressed his future whilst speaking to Mundo Deportivo.
The Toffees may have been a little unconvincing against Cardiff but did grab the win, with Gylfi Sigurdsson tapping home a second half winner.
Marco Silva has now won five of the last seven Premier League games, and a key part of that run of late has been midfielder Gomes.
Signed on loan from Barcelona on deadline day in August, the Portuguese international arrived injured, meaning he had to wait until the 21st of October to make his first start for the club.
Now though, Gomes is quickly becoming a fan favourite at Goodison Park, having dazzled in midfield, particularly in that win over Cardiff.
Fans are already desperate to see him sign permanently even after just five games, but Barcelona weren’t willing to sell over the summer, hence why he is only on loan in the first place.

Now, Everton director of football Brands has spoken to Mundo Deportivo about the situation, believing that it all depends on whether Gomes wants to stay – and with little future at Barcelona, Everton may just have a chance.
“The season just started,” said Brands. “We are happy with André, but it will depend on him if he wants to continue with us or not,” he added.
