There have been many players who have been compared to LeBron James over the years, but no one has come close to his reign of dominance.
LeBron James might be showing his age now, but it wasn’t that long ago when he was the undisputed best player in the world.
Since LeBron entered the league, he has been on the top of the basketball food chain and no one has been able to replace him.
With LeBron’s career coming to a close, it will be interesting to see who will take the reins as the new face of the league.

Marc Spears says that someone told him that Zion Williamson has LeBron James-like talent
One of the players who was frequently compared to James on his way to the league was Zion Williamson.
Williamson was a freak of nature coming out of Duke and he was hailed as the next big thing in the NBA because of his size and freakish athleticism.
Unfortunately for Zion, injuries derailed his career. Every time it seemed like he was building momentum, Williamson suffered a setback.
Also, Williamson’s mentality and work ethic have been questioned over the years due to him being out of shape.
Marc Spears said that he talked to one of Zion’s former teammates and they said Williamson has LeBron-like talent but he doesn’t love the game like James does.
“I talked to one of his former teammates who says his talent is so big that it’s actually LeBron James like talent.
“He thought he could even be better than LeBron James. The problem of this same former teammate is that he said, but he doesn’t love it like LeBron James.
“And that’s the big problem. And I’m like, well, if your team had the ability to trade for Zion, would you do it?
“And he said, if they asked me, I’d tell them not to.”
Zion Williamson is injured again
Once again, Williamson is injured.
The New Orleans Pelicans announced that he’s dealing with a grade 2 right hip adductor strain. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks, which means he could be out for much longer than that.
The Pelicans are dead last in the NBA and do not own their 2026 first-round pick because they traded it to the Atlanta Hawks to acquire Derik Queen.
With Williamson sidelined again and the Pelicans franchise going downhill, one has to think if Zion has played his last game with the organization.
