Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
According to The Independent earlier today, Tottenham Hotspur and Ajax have reached a deal in principle over the transfer of Davinson Sanchez.
It has been reported that Premier League club Tottenham will pay Dutch giants Ajax an initial transfer fee of £28 million, with a potential extra £14m in add-ons.
“The only disagreement between Tottenham and Ajax remains the timing of the payments, with Ajax trying on Thursday to speed up the process faster than was initially planned,” adds the report.

Sanchez has already told Ajax that he wants to join Tottenham, according to the report, and the 21-year-old central defender was not part of the Dutch club’s squad for their Europa League play-off game against Rosenborg on Thursday evening.
Ajax’s director of football, Marc Overmars, a former Arsenal and Barcelona player, has now given an update on the situation of Sanchez.
The former Netherlands international winger has said that only one club is involved in negotiations over the young Colombia international defender, and has hinted that a deal could be finalised inside the next 24 hours.

“The state of affairs is that we are still talking,” Overmars told Voetbalzone.nl about Sanchez. “There is no definite yes or no. Ultimately, of course, it is the price.”
While going on to explain that Sanchez was not part of Ajax’s game for Thursday due to speculation over his future, Overmars said that for now he is still part of the squad, but added that “24 hours can change a lot”.
On whether there are more than one club that Ajax are currently speaking to about Sanchez, the Dutchman said: “No, no other. There is only one club we’re negotiating with.”
Sanchez is one of the best and most promising young central defenders in Europe and would be a very good signing for Tottenham.
The Colombian featured in 32 Eredivisie matches and 12 Europa League games for Ajax during the 2016-17 campaign, according to WhoScored.
