West Ham and Wolves target Luizao has announced he will be leaving Sao Paulo as a move to the Premier League beckons.
What’s the story?
Well, the 20-year-old hopped onto his personal Instagram account to reveal that he would be leaving the Brazilian giants.
Luizao rose through the youth ranks at Sao Paulo, with his impressive displays attracting the interest of West Ham and Wolves in the Premier League – according to 90min.
Now, with his contract set to expire in January, the South American has announced his decision to leave Sao Paulo after six years at the club.
Luizao wrote: “My cycle at Sao Paulo comes to an end, gratitude is undoubtedly the word that remains, it was six years of a lot of learning and work, I arrived a dreamy boy and I leave the club a man with objectives and goals to be met, I know that many will judge the way I leave but I make it clear that above all I maintain my respect and love for the club, thank you Sao Paulo Futebol Clube.”
In his final season at the club, Luizao made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
So, where is he heading? It seems his destination is east London, by all accounts.
West Ham beat Wolves to Luizao
According to Sky Sports, Luizao has already undergone a medical with West Ham, and his move to the London Stadium will become official in January once the transfer window is open.
It sees David Moyes receive a welcome boost in the centre-back department, which is lacking in depth.

That lack of depth was exposed at the start of the campaign as Ben Johnson found himself playing centrally alongside Kurt Zouma.
Now, the Hammers have gained an exciting prospect in that area, one who should blossom in claret and blue.
