Rangers lost 2-1 away at Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

Rangers slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening, undoing all the good work done in the win over Celtic before New Year.
The Gers had put themselves joint-top with that win over Celtic, and there was a real buzz around Steven Gerrard’s side after signing Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe this month.
Defoe got Rangers off to a perfect start with the opening goal against Kilmarnock, but that’s as good as it got for Gerrard’s men in a disappointing evening at Rugby Park.
Eamonn Brophy pounced on a Joe Worrall error to bring Killie level, and Jordan Jones – who will be a Rangers player this summer – scored against his future employers to make it 2-1.
Rangers couldn’t recover, and were made to pay for their slip-up as Celtic claimed a thumping 4-0 home win over St Mirren last night.
Worrall’s error has been discussed incessantly since it happened, with Gerrard defending the loanee by suggesting that it’s unlike him to dally in possession like that.

Gers fans aren’t quite agreeing though, and took to Twitter to react to Gerrard’s post-match comments by posting the same hashtag over and over again; #FreeKatic.
The Croatian centre back has made just three appearances since the end of October, despite starring in the early stages of the season, and fans want to see him return.
We picked out just a handful of posts, but there were more than 40 responses to the tweet with the same hashtag, with fans desperate to see Katic back in the team ahead of either Worrall of Gareth McAuley.
