Former Romana international Marcel Raducanu has issued a warning to Crystal Palace target Florinel Coman, even if he’d be ‘happy’ to see the winger get a Premier League chance, while speaking to GSP.
As confusion reigns over how serious the interest is from Selhurst Park in an exciting young winger, one thing is for sure – the door has swung open for Palace to give Coman the platform his talent deserves.
Speaking to Fanatik last week, agent Giovanni Becali admitted that he had been in touch with Roy Hodgson’s side regarding a deal that would see Romanian football’s brightest spark move to London.
A Palace side who scored just 31 goals in 38 league games last season certainly need a bit of a spark in the final third, and their lack of creativity would only be exacerbated by Wilfried Zaha’s highly-anticipated departure.
“I would be happy for him,” former Borussia Dortmund ace Raducanu said when discussing Coman’s potential move to England.
“The problem is what he does there after he gets there. That many talents who get lost (in the Premier League).”

Coman produced 15 goals and 11 assists for Steaua Bucharest in 2019/20, adding to the hype that has already seen him compared with Paris Saint-Germain superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
In fact, it was perhaps the greatest Romanian footballer of all time, the legendary Gheorghe Hagi, who pointed out the similarities between Coman and the World Cup-winning French phenomenon.
Gigi Becali, Steaua owner and Giovanni’s brother, has made it clear that his prized asset will not be going anywhere for a penny less than £13 million (ProSport).
But Coman will not need us to tell him that the step up from Romania’s top-flight to the English equivalent is a steep one.
