The West Ham United manager worked with Yaya Toure during their time together at Manchester City.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Saturday, and responded when asked whether he is interested in signing Yaya Toure on a free transfer, as quoted by Football.London.
The Chilean managed the Ivorian during his time in charge at Manchester City, and the duo enjoyed huge amounts of success together.
The 35-year-old is now available on a free transfer, having been released from City, and he will surely make a fine addition for whichever club wins the race for his signature.
Pellegrini responded to reporters today, when asked whether he wants to bring his former player to West Ham, as quoted by Football.London:

“At the moment our squad is good.”
Pellegrini spent heavily this summer, bringing in nine new faces to the tune of roughly £100 million, so whether he actually needs Toure is debatable.
The former Barcelona ace would add a wealth of experience, genuine quality and a certain kind of winning mentality to the Hammers squad, however, and his availability on a free transfer surely makes a move for him a no-brainer for West Ham.
