Jack Wilshere has endured a disappointing first season at West Ham United due to injuries.

Manuel Pellegrini has told West Ham United’s official website that Jack Wilshere can be a big player for him next season.
Wilshere has endured an injury-hit first season at West Ham since joining from Arsenal last summer.
The 27-year-old midfielder has managed less than half-an-hour of senior football since December.
As far as talent goes, Wilshere has always been very highly thought of and his Chilean manager believes that he can be a big player next term after seeing him impress in training everyday.
He told the Hammers’ official website: “If the injuries respect him, of course Jack can be a big player for us. He has a lot of quality and is now working very well.
“We hope, in the same way that when we bought him, that he can play [a full] season and of course that will change our team. I know this because I see him working every day.”
It’s a big shout by the former Manchester City boss.
Yes, Wilshere can be a big player, but there’s no escaping his injury problems. Ankle issues are a recurring theme in Wilshere’s stop-start career and only time will tell whether he can stay fit for long enough now.
He will be in West Ham’s squad today as Pellegrini’s side round off a decent first season under him by visiting Watford at Vicarage Road.
