Manuel Pellegrini has told Football London that he might include Jack Wilshere in West Ham United’s squad on Saturday.
The Irons visit in-form Newcastle United this weekend.
Wilshere, who joined West Ham on a free transfer during the summer, hasn’t kicked a ball for Pellegrini’s side in three months following ankle surgery.
Likewise, striker Andy Carroll hasn’t made a single appearance this season due to injury, but the big man was an unused substitute in the defeat by Manchester City last week.
And Pellegrini told Football London during his press conference today that both stricken stars might travel to Tyneside.
“Well, Andy is maybe one step forward than Wilshere because he played 45 minutes in the friendly game that we had against Brentford.
“Last game he was on the bench, he has worked without any problems this week, same as Jack. Maybe they will be in the squad list for tomorrow.”

West Ham fans haven’t seen a great deal of the 25-year-old midfielder since his summer move, and it’ll be a pleasant surprise if he’s on the bench at St James’s Park.
At his best, Wilshere, who has lost all four of his Premier League games as a West Ham player, is a fine talent and one who adds a real sense of dynamism to Pellegrini’s midfield.
