West Ham United have made a poor start to their Premier League campaign.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini sat down for an exclusive interview with the Sun, and shared the biggest, most important change that he had to make when he took over at the London Stadium.
The Chilean spent heavily during the summer transfer window, signing nine new players for the Hammers, but his side have made an extremely inconsistent start to their Premier League campaign.
West Ham currently sit in 13th spot in the Premier League table, having taken just 12 points from their opening 12 league outings, but there have been signs in recent weeks that Pellegrini’s side is beginning to gel together.
The east London outfit have been struggling nearer the bottom of the table in recent seasons, and they are now expected to challenge for the European places under the guidance of Pellegrini.
The Hammers boss sat down for an exclusive interview with the Sun, and shared how vital it was for him to change the mentality of the club as a whole, when he took over in the summer:

“For me the most important change is the mentality. It is the most important thing to change. It cannot be a team that is fighting for relegation. It cannot be a club that does not have a mentality to keep improving. For that you must do it mentally, as well as with facilities and contracts. There are a lot of things to improve to have a new step.”
Next up for West Ham is a clash with Pellegrini’s former team – Manchester City, and the east Londoners will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking a positive result away from the contest.
