West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today, and provided a positive fitness update on Felipe Anderson, Samir Nasri and Ryan Fredericks ahead of his side’s clash with Chelsea on Monday night, as quoted by Football.London.

The Hammers were woeful in their last outing at home to Everton on Saturday, and they now find themselves sitting in 11th spot in the Premier League table, five points adrift of seventh placed Wolves.

West Ham will have to bounce back quickly, if they are to have any chance of earning European football for next season, and a trip to Chelsea will be a really tough place for them to get their season back on track.

They could have some of their key players back for Monday night’s clash against the Blues, however.

Pellegrini spoke to reporters today, and provided an injury update on Felipe Anderson, Samir Nasri and Ryan Fredericks, as quoted by Football.London:

“Felipe Anderson is OK. Samir Nasri has worked with the squad. Fredericks was also injured, he’s OK.”

West Ham really missed Anderson and Nasri’s creativity last weekend, and Pablo Zabaleta was constantly exposed in the right-back position, so having the three mentioned players back will be a huge boost for Pellegrini.
