Everton boss Marco Silva is under pressure ahead of facing West Ham United.

West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has told Football.London that he hopes Everton stick with Marco Silva rather than sack him in the near future.
The Hammers head up to Merseyside on Saturday lunchtime, and will be desperate to hit back having lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace in their last outing.
Meanwhile, Everton are in utterly dismal form. Last time out, they lost 1-0 away at Burnley, meaning it’s now four defeats in a row for beleaguered boss Silva.
Losses to Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Manchester City and Burnley have piled the pressure on, and it’s five league defeats in six, with a narrow 3-2 win over Wolves the only bright spot in this run.
Unsurprisingly, Silva is now under huge pressure from fans. Sections of the Everton support are turning against Silva, and feel he simply isn’t the right man for the job having disappointed last season too.
The Daily Star now report that Silva has three games to save his job, starting with Saturday’s visit of West Ham. In this fixture last season, West Ham beat Everton 3-1, and a similar result would leave the natives restless.
Now, West Ham boss Pellegrini has suggested that Everton should back their manager rather than sack him, believing Silva is a good young manager, and shouldn’t lose his job because of four defeats.

Everton fans may feel it’s a much bigger picture than four defeats, but Pellegrini has thrown his backing behind Silva, understanding just how much pressure managers are constantly under having been in 15 managerial jobs himself.
“No, no. I don’t think Marco Silva is under pressure,” said Pellegrini. “All the managers, winning or losing, you are always under pressure, and you know the next game is a different game. He is a young manager, who has a very good career as a manager, I don’t think because he lost the last four games he must be sacked.”
“Maybe the owners of Everton, the directors, knows how he is working, and trust him a lot. I don’t think he should be sacked in the next game. He must continue doing exactly what the work he is doing. In this profession, you must be able to support all different pressures. Firstly your own pressure. After that, fans pressure, media pressure, results pressure. So there are a lot of things which are involved in your profession,” he added.
