West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini let both Edimilson Fernandes and Toni Martinez go this summer.

West Ham sanctioned moves for the young pair, with their first-team chances looking limited.
Fernandes has gone to join Fiorentina, while Martinez has moved to Rayo Majadahonda in Spain.
And Pellegrini insists that neither of the pair had any issues with leaving, as they were both informed earlier on in the summer.
He said: “We bought those new nine players, some players like Fernandes and Martinez need to play and they knew from the beginning that they were going out on loan so the squad is the squad that I want for this season.
“I don’t think that we are going to have any other player going out for the moment.”
It is arguably more surprising that West Ham were happy to let Fernandes go, rather than Martinez.

While Martinez looked some way away from West Ham’s starting line-up, Fernandes was used fairly regularly last term.
Fernandes could have offered West Ham more protection in midfield, but the addition of Carlos Sanchez meant that he wasn’t necessarily needed.
West Ham lost their opening game of the season 4-0 to Liverpool, and are under pressure to bounce back against Bournemouth this weekend.
