The West Ham United duo are highly regarded in east London.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Watford tomorrow, and highlighted how important Declan Rice and Mark Noble are to the football club, as quoted by Football.London.
Rice began his career with Chelsea before joining the Hammers when he was just 14-years-old, whilst Noble has been with the east London outfit for the entirety of his career.
Both players have been crucial to West Ham this season, especially with so many new arrivals in the summer, many of whom needed to be taught about the history and traditions of the football club.
Pellegrini spoke to reporters yesterday, and suggested that the two academy products have a key role to play for West Ham, both on and off the pitch, as quoted by Football.London:
“Declan is doing a very good season, he is improving as a player and improving every game. Of course, players like Declan or Mark Noble who belong to this club give a different characteristic to the team. He is happy and I am happy with him.”
The two Hammers stars are obviously vital to the club, in the sense that they take on the responsibility of showing every new signing what it means to wear the famous claret and blue strip.
And the pair will have a key role to play for West Ham between now and the end of the season.
