West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang was substituted off during Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s last match.
Obiang was taken off during West Ham’s latest match against Burnley, sparking concerns that he could be injured.
But Pellegrini insists that the Spaniard was only withdrawn as a precaution.
“Yes he is fine,” Pellegrini said. “He was coming from a calf injury, played 55 minuets on Wednesday, today he had a problem in his knee with that foul but he was OK.”
Obiang provides good protection for West Ham’s defence when fit, and Pellegrini’s side look far stronger with him involved.
Obiang is surely now set to start in West Ham’s next match, as he helped them pick up a victory against Burnley.
The Hammers were pegged back twice, but they still managed to pick up a 4-2 win over the Clarets.
West Ham are next in action on Saturday, when they take on struggling Huddersfield Town.
If Pellegrini’s side can win, they could move up to 12th in the Premier League table.
