Wolverhampton Wanderers beat West Ham United in the Premier League yesterday.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s bitterly disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Wolves yesterday, and urged his team to start converting their training ground performances into match-day displays, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Hammers lost their fourth consecutive Premier League game yesterday, and now sit marooned at the bottom of the table.
Many were expecting West Ham to make a sustained push for the top seven this season, but things haven’t quite worked out that way.
The east London outfit are in real trouble now too, with games against Everton, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all to come in their next five league matches.
Pellegrini, though, urged his players to remain calm, when speaking to reporters, suggesting that they need to translate their training ground work to match-days, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“We don’t have points and have lost six points at home, but I am confident because I see the players working well during the week Now we must try to take the pressure off and try to play 90 minutes in the way we work every day. For us, no points in four games is not [indicative] of the quality of squad we have.”
Pellegrini will surely be feeling the pressure, and if he fails to guide his side to some points after the international break, his position in charge at the London Stadium will come under threat.
