West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has only recently returned from injury.

Carroll has just returned from long-term injury for West Ham, and he has been used as a substitute in their last two matches.
The target-man came off the substitutes’ bench to make an impact in Pellegrini’s side’s last match, as he helped them pick up a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace.
And Pellegrini has now hinted that Carroll could be given a starting role soon, as West Ham will need to rotate to ensure they stay fresh over the festive period.
Pellegrini said: “He played the friendly against Brentford, then he played 45 minutes and got the foul for the second goal, he made a lot of good work for our team so we’ll see what happens this week.
“Not only for competition for places but also because we don’t have too many players, we cannot play with the same players in all the games so every player that recovers, especially important players like Jack, like Andy, as you said of course for us it’s very important.”
Carroll is yet to start a game for West Ham since Pellegrini took charge, but he is now giving the Chilean manager a headache.

Even with Marko Arnautovic injured, West Ham have good options up-front, with Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez both hitting form.
West Ham have won their last three matches on the bounce, with Pellegrini’s side rapidly climbing the Premier League table.
West Ham are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Fulham tomorrow evening.
