West Ham United’s Declan Rice is thriving this season.
West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has told Football.London that the club may well be willing to let Declan Rice go if the price is right.
The Hammers have seen Rice come up through the ranks in recent times, and after featuring occasionally last season, he’s really kicked on this term.
Rice, 20, has made 28 Premier League appearances this term, notching two goals whilst making a holding midfield spot his own under Pellegrini.
Rice has even switched his international allegiance from the Republic of Ireland to England, making his Three Lions debut over the international break.
Unsurprisingly, Rice’s superb performances for West Ham have sparked interest, with The Express recently claiming Liverpool and Tottenham want to sign Rice.
West Ham wouldn’t sell easily, but Champions League football and top four challenges would be enticing to any player, with Rice surely no different despite his love for West Ham.
Now, Pellegrini has admitted that West Ham could sell Rice if the price is right and if it improves Rice’s career, which would be a hugely unpopular transfer, though he did note that he doesn’t know of anything happening soon.
“It is just a matter of price, if it is a good deal for the club, player and he improves his career then we can do it,” said Pellegrini. “But I don’t know nothing there,” he added.
