The West Ham United youngster has really impressed this season.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini spoke to reporters over the weekend, and suggested that Declan Rice is currently the best holding midfielder that England have, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The 20-year-old has been quite simply brilliant for the Hammers this season, and he recently committed his international future to the Three Lions, much to the delight of the English nation.
Rice will surely be called up by Gareth Southgate for England’s international fixtures later this month, considering the consistency that he has shown for West Ham this season.
And when speaking to reporters, Pellegrini raved about the Hammers ace, who signed a new deal with the club easier this season that runs until the summer of 2024, suggesting that he is the best holding midfielder that England have, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“Declan is a young player, starting his career and he must continue to do what he is doing every day, listening to the players who have more experience than him that can help in his development. He is a complete player, and I said last week that for me in this moment he is the best English holding midfielder. The other important thing is that he is trying to learn every day.”
The exciting thing for West Ham fans is that Rice will surely continue to get even better, and if he keeps performing in the manner that he has done this season, the east London outfit have every chance of cracking the top seven come May.
