West Ham United star Manuel Lanzini is reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking at West Ham United star Manuel Lanzini. According to The Mirror, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder.

Pochettino is claimed to be a big fan of the Argentina international, who is one of the best players in the current West Ham team.

Spurs have a good and competitive squad, and it is hard to see where Lanzini would fit in the team. It is unlikely that at this moment in time, the Argentine will get into the starting lineup.

Lanzini knows one Tottenham player inside out. The 24-year-old played with Spurs star Erik Lamela at Argentine club River Plate.

Lamela, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, is injured at the moment.

One suspects that if Lanzini does join Spurs, then he will get along well with the 25-year-old Argentina international.

As the following comments suggest, Lanzini rates Lamela highly and is very good friends with him, as he once described him as “a very good player”.

“I played with Erik at River Plate and we developed a very good friendship,” Lanzini told West Ham’s official website on November 18, 2016. “I think he is a very good player.”
