West Ham United’s Marko Arnautovic has forged a wonderful understanding with Manuel Lanzini.

Hammers ace Manuel Lanzini spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and raved about the quality of his teammate Marko Arnautovic, suggesting that he is a similar player to Dimitri Payet.
The Frenchman left West Ham acrimoniously for Marseille back in January 2017, after refusing to train and play for the east London outfit.
Payet was once adored by Hammers fans, though, and displayed his mercurial talent on a regular basis for West Ham. He truly was a game-changer, and despite the manner in which he left ensuring that his reputation will forever be tarnished, it is hard to argue that he is not missed at the London Stadium.

Arnautovic’s arrival in the East-End has given the fans something to shout about though, and despite a slow start to life at the club, he has now firmly established himself as a fan favourite.
Lanzini spoke to the club’s official website about his relationship with the Austrian, comparing it to the one he shared with Payet:
“Our partnership is fantastic. It’s easy to play with Marko because he is a good player, he has a good touch, good mentality and he wants to win the games. He is like me, so it’s easy to play with these players. We make each other better, of course. We want the same things and we think the same way. It’s similar to the feeling I had with Dimi before, because they are similar players. If you have a player who plays like you, it’s easy. You need to connect and that’s it. You touch the ball one way, and he touches the ball the same way.”

Anautovic has chipped in with seven goals and three assists in 21 Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far this season, but most of those have come over the last couple of months, and if David Moyes’ men are to avoid the drop, both the Austrian and his Argentine teammate will have to be at their very best for the remainder of the campaign.
