The West Ham United ace has been absent from action all season through injury.

Manuel Lanzini of West Ham United returns to Rush Green to continue his Re Hab on September 12, 2018 in Romford, England.

West Ham ace Manuel Lanzini shared a message of gratitude to the Hammers fans, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, suggesting that hearing the London Stadium faithful sing his name on Friday night when he came on in the second-half was ‘unbelievable’.

The Argentine has been out injured all season, after rupturing his ACL during pre-season training last summer, but he made his return to action against Fulham five days ago.

Lanzini is so important for West Ham, and his return will be a huge boost to Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s hopes of finishing inside the top seven this season.

The 26-year-old admitted that he was delighted to return to action on Friday, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, whilst thanking the West Ham fans for their continued support throughout his injury nightmare:

“After eight months of work and recovery, I went back to doing what I like doing most and what I love on Friday night. The sound of the supporters cheering for me and singing my name when I entered the pitch in the second half was unbelievable. At times, my recovery and rehabilitation were not easy, but I stayed positive. I want to thank the fans for the support you always gave me. I love you all.”

West Ham face Manchester City at the Etihad tonight, and whilst it is unlikely that Lanzini will start the game, he will surely be given the chance to get more minutes under his belt, as he continues his recovery from what was a really serious injury.

And having the mercurial Argentine back involved with the first-team will have the Hammers fans really excited.
