The Argentine is hoping that he and Payet can inspire the Hammers to a successful season again.

West Ham United star Manuel Lanzini has told the club’s official website that he is looking forward to linking up with Dimitri Payet again this season and hopes that he and the French star can inspire the club to another successful season.
Lanzini and Payet were two of the Hammers’ brightest stars last season, scoring 19 goals between them in all competitions from midfield.
Whilst it was Payet who hit the headlines, and was nominated for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award in recognition of his fine form, Lanzini also impressed greatly whilst on loan from River Plate.

The Argentine signed a permanent deal to remain with the club at the back end of last season, and is likely to be an important figure again alongside Payet.
The 23-year-old is looking forward to lining up alongside the Frenchman again this term, and admitted that, perhaps unsurprisingly, Payet is the player he always looks to link up with on the pitch.
Lanzini told the club’s website: “Dimi and I get on very well. He has a great personality.
“He’s a great player and when I’m on the pitch, I always try to link up with him because I know he’s the player who can make the difference and can play that pass which means the rest of us enjoy ourselves.

“It went quite well for us last year and we hope to continue in that vein so that we give the West Ham fans many more happy moments.”
Neither Payet nor Lanzini have been in regular action for West Ham so far this season. Payet was handed an extended break after France’s run to the Euro 2016 final and has just 23 minutes of action under his belt, although he did play over half an hour as a substitute for France in the goalless draw with Belarus on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Lanzini has played just half an hour as a substitute after missing Argentina’s Olympic campaign through injury.
Both stars could return for the Hammers this weekend, however, as they host Watford on Saturday.
