Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur continued their brilliant start to the Premier League season with a 2-1 home win against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Saturday.

While it was a controversial match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur did not mind because they picked up all three points against Liverpool.

One of the best players for Tottenham in the Premier League game was Cristian Romero.

Romero, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, has been superb for Spurs so far this season.

The 25-year-old centre-back produced yet another good performance for Tottenham, this time against Liverpool.

Romero was a rock at the back and was pushed up as a midfielder when Liverpool went down to nine men.

Tottenham winger Manor Solomon was impressed by the performance of his £165,000-a-week (Spotac) teammate, as you can see below.

Spurs are now second in the Premier League table with 17 points from seven matches.

The North London club are a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur doing well

Yes, Tottenham Hotspur needed a late own goal to beat Liverpool at home, but the fact of the matter is that they got the three points in the end.

And, Spurs are playing wonderful attacking football.

I do not think that Tottenham will challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have better squads than Spurs do.

But, I believe that Spurs will challenge for the UEFA Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.

With Manchester United and Chelsea struggling at the moment, Tottenham certainly have a very good chance of clinching the fourth spot in the Premier League table.
