Arsenal will be looking to keep hold of Martin Odegaard this summer – but Edu should have his eyes on potential replacements anyway.
The Mail report that Mikel Arteta is keen to keep Odegaard for next season, having been impressed with the Real Madrid loanee in recent weeks.
However, much will depend on Real’s plans, and having backup targets in mind should be a priority, with Manor Solomon wanted by Edu.
The Guardian report that Arsenal are looking into a summer deal for Solomon, who has been starring in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Solomon has impressed with seven goals in 26 games this season, and he has even been compared to Eden Hazard.
Capable of playing out wide or as a number 10, Solomon would surely only be targeted if Odegaard doesn’t come back next season – and he has now been hailed.

Solomon scored twice in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Desna, and Desna boss Oleksandr Ryabokon has suggested that Solomon plays like a Brazilian.
As quoted by Walla in Solomon’s native Israel, Ryabokon claimed that Solomon has the technique of a Brazilian player like Taison, whilst being faster than him and Marlos – huge praise, and comments that Edu should be well aware of as a Brazilian himself.
“I was not at all surprised that he was preferred to Taison and Marlos,” said Ryabokon. “Solomon does not fall short of them in technique and qualities. He has the technique of a Brazilian player, and is faster than them,” he added.
