The Blues are yet to make an official move for the Napoli striker, however.

According to Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb, citing Radio CRC, the agent of Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini has confirmed that Everton have revived their interest in the player.

The Blues were expected to be busy this summer as Farhad Moshiri offered Ronald Koeman big funds to spend in the transfer window.

They have made four new signings so far, with Yannick Bolasie the latest to arrive in a big-money move from Crystal Palace.

They had made a move for Deportivo striker Lucas Perez on the recommendation of Steve Walsh but he is now heading to Arsenal, so alternative options will have to be explored.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport they were offering big wages to tempt Gabbiadini into making the move to Goodison Park and now his agent has confirmed their interest in his client.

“Yes, there are new conditions, everything now depends on the numbers,” Tuttomercatoweb reports him saying.

“An official offer has not arrived yet, but there has been and exchange of views, after which it will lead to something.”

It will now be interesting to see if Everton do make an official offer before the end of the transfer window.

There is no denying that they need additions in that area of the team, with Arouna Kone struggling to offer sufficient back up to Lukaku last season.

Their transfer business so far has largely been done slowly though and there is every chance this potential move could continue right up to deadline day.
