Belgium recorded a huge win on Tuesday night as they hammered Belarus 8-0 in Leuven.

Jeremy Doku arguably stole the show for Roberto Martinez’s side, setting up the opener with a nice through ball for Michy Batshuayi.

The Rennes winger then raced clear to fire in Belgium’s fourth goal of the night, and threaded a lovely ball for Leandro Trossard to make it 7-0.

Doku just had far too much pace and trickery for Belarus to deal with, and this was another indication of the 18-year-old’s staggering potential.

Yes, he’s only registered a goal and two assists in his first season at Rennes, but Doku looks like being a star of the future – and that future could end up being with Liverpool.

Last week, Doku claimed to Ouest France that he rejected a move to Liverpool despite speaking to Sadio Mane, seemingly believing that his development would be better served with Rennes.

Liverpool will surely keep tabs on Doku’s progress in France, and Reds fans have taken to Twitter to rave about the teenager whilst dreaming of a future Anfield move.

Some called Doku ‘terrific’ whilst believing that he is the ideal successor to Mane himself, with fans hoping that Liverpool can still get a deal done one day despite missing out once already.
