Rio Ferdinand has said on his YouTube channel that Liverpool forward Sadio Mane’s level has dropped off a little bit over the past two seasons.
The former Manchester United defender has suggested that Mane is not at the level of his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah at the moment.
The BT Sports pundit has added that Senegal international forward Mane – as well as his Liverpool teammate Salah – is a phenomenal player.
Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel: “The last couple of seasons Salah has kept the consistency sky-high and continued whereas Mane has dropped off a little bit in terms of his output, but still phenomenal player, both of them.”

Ferdinand speaks about Mane’s “output” over the past two seasons.
When you compare the 29-year-old’s stats to those of Salah over the past two campaigns, you will notice a difference.
Mane scored 11 goals and gave seven assists in the Premier League, and scored three goals and provided one assist in the Champions League last season.
Back in 2019-20, the former Southampton star scored 18 goals and gave seven assists in the league, and scored two goals and provided one assist in the Champions League.
So far this campaign, Mane has scored two goals in four league appearances for Liverpool.
Let’s now look at Salah’s stats.
The Egypt international forward scored 22 goals and give five assists in the Premier League, and scored six goals and provided one assist in the Champions League last season.
Back in 2019-20, Salah scored 19 goals and gave 10 assists in the league, and scored four goals and provided two assists in the Champions League.
So far this campaign, the Liverpool forward has scored three goals and given two assists in four Premier League games.
There was a drop-off in Mane’s output last season, but perhaps the Senegalese will get back to his best this campaign.
