Liverpool fans were left blown away by the performance of Raphinha for Brazil last night.
Raphinha at the double
The Leeds United winger scored his first two goals for his nation in Brazil’s 4-1 win over Uruguay.
His performance his caused quite a stir in Brazil, and it appears it has also created interest at Anfield.
That is because Raphinha has been linked with a move to Liverpool for many months now.
Just yesterday Raphinha’s agent commented that Liverpool had shown an interest in the 24-year-old (Sky Sports).
His consistently excellent performances are surely putting him on the radar of teams right across Europe now.
Leeds will be determined to keep hold of the £17 million attacker (Goal), who is rapidly becoming a star at Elland Road.
But as his profile increases the task of hanging on to Raphinha could become tougher and tougher.
And Liverpool fans are now hoping that their side do launch a bid for him in the near future.
Strong signing?
Raphinha could be a hugely exciting addition to Liverpool’s already potent front three.
Liverpool may well be looking for a younger option to use in the forward areas, and few look better placed than Raphinha to make the step up.
The Leeds man is wonderfully talented in possession, but also works hard defensively, which would make him an ideal fit for Liverpool’s system.
And it would be no surprise if Liverpool do make a move for the Leeds winger soon, although whether they could afford him at this stage remains to be seen.
