Aston Villa’s Tom Heaton and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford have been training together for England over the past week.

Marcus Rashford walks down the steps after an England training session at St. George's Park on September 2, 2019 in Burton-upon-Trent, England.

Marcus Rashford has messaged Aston Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton on Twitter, after scoring past him in England training.

England posted a video in the week where Rashford was thwarted twice by the Villa stopper.

But yesterday the United striker was in fine form, as he headed the ball beyond the claret and blues summer signing.

Unfortunately for Rashford the message to the Villa man didn’t seem to go down particularly well.

Red Devils fans were quick to criticise Rashford in the replies, as he has made a relatively unconvincing start to the new Premier League season.

Rashford does have two goals to his name in the Premier League this term, but they both came on opening day, when United beat Chelsea 4-0.

Heaton, meanwhile, has impressed at Villa since joining – with his performances in goal earning him praise from supporters of Dean Smith’s side.
