Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is outperforming Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial scored again in midweek, netting in a 4-2 win over Watford.
The Frenchman is now up six league goals this season, an impressive tally considering he has been used often as a bit-part player.
Martial may have four fewer goals than Tottenham’s Harry Kane, but he is outperforming the England ace in several key categories.

Martial is averaging a goal every 85 minutes, as opposed to Kane scoring every 112 minutes he plays.
Even more impressive is his strike rate. Martial scores from 38 per cent of his shots, with Kane just 13 per cent.
Kane has had a staggering 78 shots at goal to score 10 times, while Martial has netted six goals from 16 attempts.
| Team | Total Scoring Attempts | Shots On Target | Goals | Scoring V Shooting Accuracy | Key Passes | Assists | Mins per goal | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harry Kane | Tottenham | 78 | 28 | 10 | 13% | 13 | 1 | 112.6 | 1,126 |
| Anthony Martial | Man Utd | 16 | 8 | 6 | 38% | 12 | 2 | 85 | 510 |
Martial has even provided one more assist than the Tottenham man too, despite playing half the amount of minutes.
Romelu Lukaku is the clear cut number one striker at United, and Martial is dangerous and effective cutting in from out wide.
But as the Frenchman’s career progresses, perhaps his best role will turn out to be as a central striker – his finishing is certainly clinical enough to make it work.
