Michael Johnston’s brace for Celtic on Sunday impressed Manchester United’s Angel Gomes.

Manchester United attacking midfielder Angel Gomes has praised Celtic winger Michael Johnston on Twitter.
Gomes – who is only 18 years of age and played twice in the Premier League for United this season, according to WhoScored – was impressed with Johnston’s performance for Celtic against Heart of Midlothian at the weekend.
The 20-year-old winger scored both the goals, the Hoops got the better of Hearts 2-1 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

Promising future
Johnston played well for Celtic against Hearts, and his two goals will enhance his confidence and will enable him to get more chances for the Hoops’ first team in the coming years.
Given the quality of players that the Glasgow giants have, it is going to be hard for the Scotland Under-21 international to establish himself as a regular for the first team.
However, training with the Celtic first team on a regular basis and getting playing time at regular intervals will help Johnston in his development and progress.
