Will Toby Alderweireld still want to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United if he is competing with five other centre-backs at his new club?

According to the Sun, Jose Mourinho wants to complete the signing of Alderweireld before the 2018 World Cup in Russia starts on Thursday (June 14).

The Red Devils are willing to pay the £50m it will cost to land the Belgium international and make the 29-year-old their third summer signing alongside Diogo Dalot and Fred.
Will Alderweireld be happy?
Yet news that United won’t be offloading anyone to make way for the defender’s arrival could mean there will be six players fighting for two positions next season.

That might not be the most appealing prospect for Alderweireld, who will be hoping to achieve the same sort of regular game time at his next club that he has at Spurs – when fit that is.
The only way that the 13-time Premier League champions will allow one of the current quintet of central defenders at Old Trafford to leave is if they specifically ask to do so.
