Even though Rasmus Hojlund is starting to showcase his goalscoring prowess, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are still in search of that proven striker.

For a long while, Harry Kane was the talk, there were cries from the Old Trafford crowd to get that deal done when he was still in the Premier League.

In the end, the England captain opted to leave Tottenham for German giants, Bayern Munich.

But West Ham United coach Kevin Nolan thinks the 30-year-old will be back in the Premier League in next to no time and ‘Manchester United will be his next destination’, as he told talkSPORT.

Sources have told HITC Football, with the changes that are being made upstairs at Manchester United, the powers that be still want to bring Harry Kane to the club.

Yes, things aren’t going as well as he would like, from a team’s perspective, but it would still be a shock if he left anytime soon.

Bayern penned down their 33-goal striker to a deal until 2027 and paid a club-record amount for his talents.

Kevin Nolan feels it would take that amount of money to bring him back, as he explained the ‘aura’ he has to play for a club like Manchester United.

Harry Kane at Manchester United

“I can certainly see him back in the Premier League,” said Nolan.

“I don’t think Tottenham would have ever have sold him to Manchester United, but for him to go to Bayern Munich, then it’s easier for him to come back from Germany and I think Man United will be his destination.

“I think they (Bayern) would want their money back. Of course (he is worth it). 20+ goals every season and he was playing for Tottenham during them times as well.

“Realistically, are Man United as good as Tottenham? But I just think he brings a different aura to them anyway, a different aura to the team as soon as he puts the shirt on for, whoever.

“But I probably think Man United would be the one.”

Manchester United ship has sailed

From Man United’s perspective, given all the money they have spent, this is something they should have done years ago.

There was that period when Kane was pushing for a move to Man City, but he didn’t get his wish and stayed put.

Perhaps Man United’s situation, where they have declined every time there is hope, hasn’t helped matters for them to land a player like Kane.

In the past, this was the norm, go back to Teddy Sheringham and Dimitar Berbatov, they all got their moves, but not anymore because Spurs are much stronger and Man United are much weaker.
