Manchester United take on Saint-Etienne on Wednesday in the Europa League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Manchester United 4-1 Saint Etienne
Manchester United have been on cruise control in their Europa League home games and Saint Etienne aren’t good enough to change that. The Red Devils need to get a lead which will give them a healthy advantage for the away leg, which takes place days before the EFL Cup final, and need to ensure that match becomes a dead rubber.

Manchester United 1-0 Saint Etienne
Don’t expect a thriller. St Etienne are typically well organised in Europe, scoring few and conceding fewer against traditionally stronger opposition. Therefore, United will spent the majority of the tie banging on the door though Paul will emerge victorious in this battle of the Pogbas.

Manchester United 2-1 Saint Etienne
St Etienne have been very good away from home in Europe this season, and could give Manchester United a scare at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho has great squad depth though and will have genuine quality to call upon for this one, who should have enough about them to see off the Ligue 1 side.
Manchester United 3-0 Saint Etienne
Manchester United will know the importance of building a strong lead before the second leg in France later this month. If they play like they did against Watford they will be far too strong for St Etienne.
Manchester United 2-0 Saint Etienne
It will be interesting to see what sort of side Jose Mourinho puts out. There may be some changes but United have the squad to juggle. The French side are doing well in Ligue 1, but the Red Devils have been in superb form in their own league. Florentin Pogba is unlikely to get the better of his brother, and most expensive player in the world, Paul.

Manchester United 3-1 Saint Etienne
United are starting to look like their old selves again, although with some catching up too do still on the top four, there’s an incentive to succeed in Europe too. This should be a home win, although nothing comprehensive.
