Manchester United’s January transfer window is beginning to take shape under interim manager Michael Carrick, with rumours emerging around both current players and potential new arrivals.
Manchester United have turned down approaches for Harry Maguire while assessing midfield options for the months ahead.
Ruben Neves and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are among the players linked, as Carrick and United’s recruitment team plan to strengthen key areas of the squad.

Manchester United turn down Harry Maguire enquiries from Italy
Manchester United have rejected offers from AC Milan and several Premier League sides for Harry Maguire.
As reported by The Sun, Carrick views the defender as an essential part of his plans and has ruled out any move during the current window.
Maguire, 32, has re-established himself as a regular starter this season, with Carrick valuing his experience and leadership at the back.
AC Milan had explored a possible loan deal, but United remain firm that their club captain will stay at Old Trafford until at least the summer.
Ruben Neves on Manchester United’s radar for summer move
Manchester United are reportedly preparing a £20 million bid for Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves, who is open to a Premier League return.
According to Football Insider, the Portugal international features prominently on United’s list of summer targets as Carrick aims to add creativity and control in midfield.
Neves, 28, left Wolves for Saudi Arabia last year but is believed to be interested in returning to England. His agent Jorge Mendes has already held initial talks with United representatives.
While Al Hilal are reluctant to sell mid-season, negotiations could resume closer to the summer window.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek offered to Manchester United
Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to TEAMtalk.
Milan are open to a loan move with an option to buy, having struggled to find regular minutes for the former Chelsea player.
The 29-year-old has started just eight Serie A matches under Massimiliano Allegri this season. His experience in the Premier League could appeal to United, though no formal offer has been made, with the club currently prioritising long-term midfield reinforcements.
