A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward has travelled to Spain in an attempt to finally seal a deal for Barcelona forward Pedro.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for quite some time now and the latest report claims United are eager to tie up a £22million transfer as soon as possible.
United manager Louis van Gaal is said to have slight reservations over Pedro’s pace but that will not stop the Dutchman from making a move.
In other news, the Daily Mail also reports that United and Arsenal both have the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer.
The Sweden international has reportedly been put up for sale by the Ligue 1 club but it remains to be seen if either van Gaal or Gunners boss Arsene Wenger would make a move considering Ibrahimovic is approaching his 34th birthday.
He would certainly add real threat to United’s front-line but his signing would be a risk at this stage of his career.
