Manchester United don’t want Anthony Elanga to go to Everton
The report published this morning has claimed that Everton want to sign Elanga on a loan deal from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the final days of the January transfer window.
However, the Red Devils do not want to send the £43,000-a-week (SalarySport) winger to the Toffees.
According to ESPN, ‘the ongoing chaos and uncertainty at Goodison Park’ is putting off United from doing a loan deal.
Borussia Dortmund is reportedly the likeliest destination for the 20-year-old Sweden international.

Sensible stance
In our view, Manchester United’s stance on Anthony Elanga is very sensible.
Yes, the Toffees are one of the biggest and most historic clubs in England, but they do not have a manager yet and could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Why would United send a young and promising player such as Elanga to a club who are really struggling at the moment, both on the pitch and off it?
Elanga is only 20, and for him, the right club would be one that are doing well and aiming for something better than just avoiding relegation.
