Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign rumoured Tottenham target Yannick Carrasco as a replacement for Chrisitan Eriksen, with the playmaker set to be out until April through injury.
According to the Telegraph, Atletico Madrid have been in contact with the Red Devils over the possibility of selling Carrasco this deadline day, with United now potentially in the market for a late signing following the news that Eriksen faces up to three months out on the treatment table.
Despite a release clause of €60m (£52m), it is expected that Carrasco will be allowed to leave Atletico for a cheap transfer fee, with Marca reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing the Belgian international. However, this latest update could throw a spanner in the works for Spurs.
With just under 12 hours left to go in the January window, United will have to act fast if they’re to secure a deal for Carrasco, who could be an ideal replacement for the Danish playmaker despite how different the winger’s skillset is to the Premier League maestro.
Manchester United signing Tottenham target Carrasco would be quite the move

Carrasco has been linked with a Premier League move for years, and with Atletico now offering the attacker’s services to United, there is a real chance that the Belgian could move to Manchester in the coming hours, much to the dismay of Tottenham.
Indeed, with time running out, a decision must be made soon on if United want to sign the 29-year-old forward. And for Spurs, they will be hopeful that Erik Ten Hag opts against bringing the Atletico star to Old Trafford this month, paving the way for a summer deal for Antonio Conte.
