A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has flown to Turkey ahead of his summer switch to Fenerbahce.

The Netherlands international was photographed wearing the Turkish side’s scarf as he boarded a private plane to fly him to the country he will soon be calling his new home.

In other news, the Daily Mail reports that United remain interested in Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin even though they have agreed a deal for German international Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Mail claims United remain in talks with Southampton after initially sending an official to the south coast last week to conclude a deal, but that an agreement has not yet been reached.

The Mail also claims United right-back Rafael could be used in a swap deal to bring Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan to Old Trafford.

That is according to the Brazilian defender’s agent who claimed his client was keen on a move to the Portuguese club if talks ultimately got that far.

And finally, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claims United manager Louis van Gaal wants Schneiderlin, Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Otamendi to complete his summer business, while along with Rafael, Jonny Evans and Angel Di Maria are tipped to leave.
