Marcus Thuram wants to join Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United despite having interest from Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, according to BILD.
Marcus Thuram wants Manchester United, not Newcastle United or Aston Villa
The German publication has claimed that Manchester United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all want to sign Borussia Monchengladbach forward Thuram.
The 25-year-old France international, who played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, is out of contract at German club Monchengladbach at the end of the season.
Thuram is open to staying at Monchengladbach until the summer of 2023 and then moving on a free, according to the report.
Bild have added that if the Frenchman is to make a move in the January transfer window, then he would like to join Manchester United, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain, not Newcastle or Villa.

Understandable
We understand why Marcus Thuram would want a move to Manchester United and not to Newcastle United or Aston Villa.
Yes, Newcastle and Villa are big and established clubs in the Premier League, but they are not ‘elite’.
Manchester United are.
The Red Devils may not have won the Premier League title for a while now and are not even in the UEFA Champions League this season, but they are a global brand who could achieve success under manager Erik ten Hag.
