Manchester United are reportedly planning a summer fire sale in order to raise funds ahead of a move to sign Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Erik Ten Hag is eager to offload Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire and Alex Telles in order to make space in both the squad and on the payroll to sign Kane, who is seemingly United’s main striking target for the summer.
The Red Devils have one of the largest squads in the Premier League and one that the Dutch manager is keen to downsize by selling off much of the deadwood, with premium signings only in mind for Ten Hag, such as Kane, who could be a perfect signing for United.
The 29-year-old attacker recently became Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer, and with the striker’s contract due to expire in 2024, this summer could be as good a time as any for a top club to finally poach Kane away from the north London side, where Daniel Levy has done well to keep him on their books.

Indeed, with United making some impressive progress under Ten Hag and Antonio Conte likely to leave Tottenham at the end of this season, Kane signing for the Manchester giants isn’t too far-fetched, with the England international a perfect fit for the Old Trafford side for next season.
And with United now making moves to offload players who are now surplus to requirements, there’s a good chance the Manchester side could recoup the finances needed to bring Kane to the Premier League giants in the summer, with the player himself likely open to a move.
Kane signing for Manchester United has to happen this summer

Kane’s individual records and achievements are something we likely won’t see again in English football for quite some time, yet in terms of silverware and team accolades, the striker has nothing to cling on too, which is why a move to United makes complete sense this summer.
The forward is in the prime of his career, and playing for a club like United where silverware and trophies are expected, Kane can finally start filling out his cabinet with awards beyond the personal achievements the striker has garnered at Tottenham.
