Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign striker Breel Embolo, according to German newspaper SportBILD.
It is claimed Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Basel teenager, and while German club Red Bull Leipzig are keen, they fear being blown out of the water financially by United.

SportBILD report Manchester United have made an offer of £28 million to Basel for the striker, and will offer Embolo a salary of £4 million per year.
Embolo is currently on international duty with Switzerland at Euro 2016, which is holding up negotiations.
The paper claim Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Wolfsburg and Juventus area all keen on the striker, who has been a substitute for the Swiss in both their European Championship games so far.

He struck 13 goals for Basel last season and is expected to become one of Europe’s top strikers. The Daily Star even dubbed him the next Didier Drogba, when reporting Liverpool and Tottenham’s interest in him earlier this year.
At United he would have to compete for a place with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and potentially Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but with Wayne Rooney dropping into midfield, there could be room for his acquisition.
