According to TEAMtalk, having missed out on Cody Gakpo to Liverpool, Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are planning a bid for AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham, a player Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have also been linked with.

TEAMtalk have reported that Manchester United wanted to sign Gakpo from PSV in the January transfer window.

However, it is United’s bitter Premier League rivals Liverpool who have secured the services of the Netherlands international forward, who starred at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Manchester United plan bid for Arsenal target Tammy Abraham

The Red Devils are now moving onto other targets, and one of them is £34 million (SkySports) striker Abraham.

TEAMtalk have claimed that Manchester United are planning to bid for the former Chelsea striker either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2023.

The England International striker himself is open to a move back to the Premier League.

United’s interest in Abraham will come as a blow for Arsenal, who have been linked with the 25-year-old striker as a potential replacement for striker Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus is on the sidelines at the moment due to an injury he suffered while playing for Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Earlier this month, LaRoma24.it reported that Arsenal and Aston Villa are interested in signing Abraham in the January transfer window.

It will be interesting to see if United or Arsenal bid for the striker in January.
