A select round-up of transfer news relating to Manchester United…
Yesterday we brought you news of the 15-year-old training with Arsenal’s first-team. But now that same player – Chris Willock – has been linked with a future move to Manchester United.
The Daily Mail reports that United are monitoring the left-sided forward’s progress, and could one day reunite him with his brother Matty – once on Arsenal’s books but now set to sign a contract at Old Trafford.
The same newspaper reports on quotes from David Moyes regarding the future of Wayne Rooney.
The United manager has admitted there will be a question over the striker’s future if United fail to secure Champions League football next season.
That achievement is currently in doubt, with their fine recent away form undone by their inability to win consistently at home.
When asked what Rooney would do if United failed to make Europe’s elite competition next season, Moyes said, “We would have to wait and see what happened in that situation.”
It may be a question for another day, but losing Rooney would surely only lead to one outcome for the current champions…and it is not a good one.
