Manchester United and Arsenal have had one of the greatest rivalries during the Premier League era.

But in recent times, the days of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger going head-to-head seem to be a long distance away.

Arsenal have managed to climb their way back near the top and missed out on the Premier League title on the last day of this season.

Over at Old Trafford, Manchester United recorded their worst-ever Premier League finish by ending up eighth.

It wasn’t so long ago that they were nicking Arsenal’s best player, signing Robin van Persie and winning the Premier League title just before Alex Ferguson ended his trophy-laden career.

It’s fair to say that won’t be happening again, well, for Manchester United, anyway!

Could Arsenal possibly get revenge and do what their old rivals did all those years ago and rub salt in the wounds when they are on the floor?

Alan Brazil reacted to the suggestion of Marcus Rashford making a potentially shocking and controversial switch to the Emirates by stating ‘I would go with that all day long’, as he told talkSPORT (06/06/24 at 6:25 am).

The former striker added that Rashford could thrive under Mikel Arteta and stated that on his day ‘he has got it all’.

Arsenal fans seemingly want their fans to sign that goalscorer and Brazil is certain that Rashford is the guy for them.

Marcus Rashford transfer to Arsenal

“I would go with that all day long,” responded Brazil to Rashford moving to Arsenal.

“I would go with that all day long. Arsenal are crying out for a centre-forward, maybe not on the left-hand side forward, someone who will get in the box and score goals. He has got it all.

“I am not going to mention Henry because of the similarities and Henry was so polished. Marcus, with his pace, some of the goals he scored and he needs an arm around him – if he played for Arsenal, with the midfield they have got, he would get loads of chances. Arteta is no mug and he wouldn’t put up with any nonsense.”

Marcus Rashford’s season for Manchester United

The issue with Rashford is that he blows hot and cold too much. Only last season, he struck 17 Premier League goals and 30 in all competitions.

He was unstoppable and deservedly went with England to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

But this time around, Gareth Southgate has left his out of England’s Euro 2024 squad after he only scored seven Premier League goals.

In that sense, he can’t have any complaints because his form hasn’t been right for 12 months now and he only has himself to blame.
