David Moyes’s West Ham United have had their first offer for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay rejected.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri on Twitter, West Ham United are interested in signing Scott McTominay from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that West Ham have made a bid for McTominay.

Manchester United have rejected it.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want as much as £40 million in transfer fees for the Scotland international midfielder.

Tavolieri has added that the £60,000-a-week (Spotrac) star is on the radar of AS Roma as well.

West Ham United should try again for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay

In our opinion, West Ham United should try again for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay in the summer transfer window.

We believe that McTominay would be a very good signing for the Hammers.

The Scotland international is a very good, dynamic and combative midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park and would make the Hammers better.

Although McTominay has not always had the best of times at Old Trafford, that he is still on the books of Manchester United shows how good he is.

And he is 26 now.

McTominay’s best years are ahead of him.

The midfielder has made 144 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

McTominay has scored 12 goals and given three assists in those games.

The 26-year-old made 10 starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils last season.

The Scotland international scored one goal in those games.

West Ham will play in the UEFA Europa League this season after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last campaign.
