David Moyes’s West Ham United will reportedly miss out on the signing of Manchester United central defender Eric Bailly to Marseille.
West Ham have been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Bailly in the summer transfer window.
The Daily Mail (print edition, page 81, August 12, 2022) have reported that the Hammers have informed the Red Devils that they want to sign the 28-year-old central defender on a loan deal.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the defender is on his way to Marseille on loan.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Manchester United and Marseille have reached full agreement over a loan transfer of Bailly, and that the defender himself “wants the move” to the Ligue 1 outfit.
It seems that it is a only a matter of time before this particular transfer deal is done.

West Ham target Eric Bailly wants Marseille move
No big miss for the Hammers
In our view, West Ham United would not miss Eric Bailly if he does not join the Hammers in the summer transfer window.
That’s because the London club signed a defender this week.
Germany international Thilo Kehrer, 25, has moved from Paris Saint-Germain.
West Ham have found a defender, and maybe they got a deal for Kehrer done after realising that Bailly would not join them.
